Kautilya Society, RGNUL
The Kautilya Society is the public policy and legal research society of Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Punjab. Established in collaboration with the Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy, the Society serves as a platform for students to engage with pressing policy issues, conduct interdisciplinary research, and contribute meaningfully to the development of law and policy in India.
Our aim is to nurture analytical thinking, foster dialogue on public policy matters, and build a research-driven approach to solving real-world problems. Members of the Society often get the opportunity to work on collaborative projects, field visits, research publications, and policy briefings. Preference is also given to Kautilya members for internships at Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy.
Legal Aid Clinic, Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law
RGNUL Legal Aid Clinic is dedicated to promoting access to justice and legal education for marginalized communities. Staffed by law students under the guidance of experienced faculty, the clinic provides free legal assistance and support to those in need. Through workshops, outreach programs, and direct legal services, the clinic empowers individuals by raising awareness of their legal rights and responsibilities. By fostering a culture of legal literacy, RGNUL Legal Aid Clinic aims to create a more equitable society where everyone can navigate the legal system confidence. The clinic is committed to making justice accessible to all.
Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy
Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy is a pioneering think tank dedicated to enhancing legal understanding and reform in India. The organization engages in rigorous research and analysis to address pressing legal issues, aiming to contribute to the development of sound public policy. Through collaboration with various stakeholders including policymakers, academics, and civil society, Vidhi strives to foster an informed dialogue around legal matters that impact society. Its encompass a wide range of topics, ensuring that legal discourse is accessible and grounded in evidence solutions. Vidhi Centre remains committed to promoting transparency and accountability within the Indian legal system.
